What We Believe

  • The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the Word of God, and the only certain rule of faith and obedience. We believe the Scriptures to be true, trustworthy, and without error. God's Word is the arbiter of any disagreement among believers. We reject extemporaneous sources of knowledge relating to revelation. "Words from the Lord" and man-made traditions must be viewed in light of the authority of God's Word.

    The Holy Scriptures

  • God is a spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth. There is only one God, the living and true God. There are three persons in the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one God, the same in essence, equal in power and glory.

    God

  • God created man male and female after His own image, in knowledge, righteousness and holiness with dominion over the creatures. Adam, the first man was given the opportunity for eternal life so long as he obeyed God.

    Man

  • Man did not remain in the state in which He was created. Adam by his own free will sinned against God by eating the forbidden fruit. Because Adam was our federal head when he sinned, we sinned in him and fell with him because of this first transgression. Sin brought all mankind into a state of sin and misery. By this sin we lost communion with God, are under His wrath and curse and so made liable to all miseries in this life, death itself, and the pains of hell forever.

    The Fall

  • Sin is any lack of conformity to, or transgression of, the Law of God.

    Sin

  • God was pleased to reconcile sinners to Himself by a Redeemer. The Lord Jesus Christ is that redeemer, being fully man and fully God, He fulfilled the whole Law as required for everlasting communion with God. All men are commanded to repent from their sins, confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead. This offer is available to all men because there is enough power in the blood of Christ to save all who seek Him.
